These students at MAST Academy in Key Biscayne, Florida were so enthusiastic about fighting plastic pollution. We discussed (i) the history and different types of plastic, (ii) the different life cycles of plastic, (iii) plastic pollution to inter-coastal habitats, (iv) plastic technology, (v) synthetic-plastic alternatives, and (vi) some clever ways to clean plastic currently in the ocean.
Learn a little bit about a closed loop system where plastic is recycled and re-purposed. These ECO Bottles are a triple threat! They remove plastic from the ocean, recycle that plastic into a useful form, and replace 80 to 100 single use plastic bottles.

This beautiful glider has no engine, no battery, and uses no fuel. It flies by catching thermal updrafts just like a soaring bird. Because the glider makes no sound, you can fly with the birds without disturbing them; they must think you are one giant funny looking bird! What an amazing way to bond nature and Earth's natural forces.
